Ventriloquist was a metal band formed by band members of Is This Then Life (Ryan Quindlen, Evan Owens, Josh Wood) in February of 2008. Adding to the initial line up of Ventriloquist was Pat Hershey and Mike Hubley.

The band then recorded a demo track version of "Klaus is B Squad Leader" with Carson Slovak of Century Studios. After which, Mike Hubley was replaced by Chris Swade after signing to 13Star Records in November of 2008.

The band then recorded a five song self titled EP under release of 13star and gigged in support of the release.

In the summer of 2009 Chris swade was replaced by Nikko Mazza of Your Nightmare Awaits and Letter of Marque to record two new tracks, "Lorian" and "Occupado"

After which, Evan, Ryan and Josh chose to leave at which time Ventriloquist ended.

Pat Hershey will be continuing efforts in another metal project, Ryan and Evan are going another direction musically, Nikko is pursuing side projects and Josh has started a life with his fiance. Links to applicable bands will be posted upon their invention.

Ventriloquist accomplished the goals they set out for, and are thankful for the support over their existence.

Ventriloquist is proud to welcome former Meet Me At Sundown drummer Gerod U. To the band. The guys are stoked to have found someone who they connect with not only on a musical level but also a personal level. Ventriloquist will continue to work on writing for their upcoming full length record.

Be sure to check out the Me And The Captain Fall Tour with March Against Fear. They will be kicking off the tour in Orange, CA at the AFL on November 2nd 2009. Words from the Captain and The Crew:
The band feels that this is a very promising opportunity and greatly look forward to working with 13 Star Records. When asked to retell the events of that history making day, first mate and lead guitarist Burt Bondy had this to say, He basically tricked us. We were at McDonalds talking business and he got us drunk. We dont really know how, but when we woke up we were covered in toilet paper and had a copy of the contract lying beside us, signed and everything. It was totally unnecessary, but I guess they felt that it was, umm, we feel good I guess, better when we get our signing bonus.

We are proud to announce that we will be releasing some re-recorded classics from Sceva along with some new recordings. More info coming soon as things develop, stay tuned!!!
